Simple Tips to Perfectly Capture Baby’s First Christmas

baby's first Christmas pictures

Celebrating baby’s first Christmas is one of the many milestones you can look forward to and a memory you will want to look back on for years to come.

Your parents and grandparents took photos of your first Christmas and now it is your turn.

The lights, the cute outfits, the beautiful colors, everything about Christmas is ideal for photos.

Naturally, you want as many smiling, giggling photos as possible, so I have put together some simple tips to ensure your photo session goes as smoothly as possible.

A full belly = a happy baby

When your little one is well-rested and has a full belly, you can expect your photo session to go a lot more smoothly. Schedule your session around baby’s usual feeding and nap times so that they are happy when they arrive. Extra bottles are recommended to ensure your little one is happy throughout the session.

Be prepared

Instead of selecting an overly complicated outfit for your baby’s Christmas session, stick to the basics. Fancy clothing can end up being uncomfortable. If you want to make things interesting, bring along one or two cute accessories to match the theme. Above all else, bring an extra set of clothes. From diaper leaks to spit-up, you never know when you might need a change of clothes.

Bring some extras along

Just in case your little one needs something comforting or a distraction, pack a blanket and some toys too. If you find that your baby won’t sit still without their usual comforts, use these items as props in the shoot.
